REVIEW: DRINK IN THE BOX

STYLE: I'm big on style. From jeggings to juice boxes, everything needs to match your own personal style, and while these products are geared more towards young children, they can be perfect for road trips with older kids as well. I loved how these boxes are simple, yet vibrant. The bright green and orange hues of these boxes really makes them appealing to children. Seeing as how children are the ones using the products, it is important to keep their interest in mind. Drink in the Box did a great job in that respect. The font used is playful and friendly. A big, bubbly font can make all the difference, and it certainly did for these products. The font really helped to keep the product looking and feeling young and fresh. These products were a new take on a classic problem.

USE: Drink in the Box and Snack in the Box are designed to keep snack time mess free. I was h…

REVIEW: FUNKYCHUNKY

Image

FunkyChunky offers artisan crafted confections that are always memorable and delicious.

PACKAGING: I love good packaging. Next to flavor, it is arguably one of the most important aspects of a product. As you can see, I received a wide variety of flavors, and each flavor has a unique design. The design for the bags and tins are very similar. For more pictures, I encourage you to look at the FunkyChunky website. I really loved how each flavor had a unique color. It helped to give the flavors distinguishing features. Sure, pictures are used too, but everyone uses pictures. A specific color helps to give these flavors personality and makes them memorable. Uniting sight and taste is through packaging and flavor is a great way to help consumers remember the brand! The white font on black background really gave the products that "funky" feel. Black is rarely used for popcorn; the…

REVIEW: DYEHOUSE

Image

Dyehouse offers online sales of Comfort Colors dyed activewear.

STYLE: Fall is here! Thankfully. It took a couple of weeks, but the cool air is finally starting to take hold of the northern hemisphere. With each new season, there is a new style. Last week, I discussed the hottest fall trends for workout wear, and today I am continuing that review by mentioning a new brand: Dyehouse. I received the Ladies Crewneck Sweatshirt and the Ladies Hooded Sweatshirt to try out. I loved the simple look of these shirts. We all have own our personal style; simple, basic clothing-like these sweatshirts-go well with literally every style out there! Whether you consider yourself to be more chic or more minimalist, a plain sweatshirt will find its place in your closet. One thing I especially loved about these shirts were the lack of a visible brand label. I hate being a walking advert…

REVIEW: BOOKCASE.CLUB

Image
Disclaimer: I received product for free in exchange for an honest review. Pictures are property of Goodreads.

BookCase.Club asked me to review their "Blind Date" box. I was more than happy to accept the offer. This month's box started out with a quote: "Delicious Autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the Earth seeking the successful autumns"(George Elliot). Let's get to the review of BookCase.Club

In Exquiste Captive, sometimes the shadows are safer than the light. Nalia is a Jinni that was captured and sold into slavery when her home planet was attacked. At first, this story is a bit difficult to understand. The terminology is confusing, and the story is fast paced. After looking up the terms I did not understand, the story became much more clear. She's on Earth and forced to obey her human master's every command. When an enemy offers her escape, she must decide what she is willing to pay for her freedom. Thr…

REVIEW: HYLETE

Image
Disclaimer: I received product in exchange for an honest review.

Hylete is a creator of premium performance apparel for the modern athlete on a modest price range.

STYLE: Everyone has three sections of their closet: work, casual, and fitness. And each section is equally important. Too often, we forget about the fitness apparel. It is important to wear clothes that make you feel good while you work out. (We all know that nobody looks pretty after running a mile). Its rare that I actually see fashionable fitness clothes. I was impressed with the laid-back style of Hylete clothing. The overall vibe was tough. These clothes let everyone know that you walked into that gym to work out-not to mess around. You aren't here to walk the track or to have a fun swim. You came to work. Normally, I do not like having logos on  my shirt. However, when it comes to certain brands, I feel like the logo can boost your standing. For example, a Gucci bag displays the Gucci logo to let everyone know of …

REVIEW: MOZO SHOES

Image

Mozo Shoes brings style and comfort together in slip-proof shoes that you will want to wear before, during, and after your shift!

STYLE: I received the Maven in red. This shoe offers a trendy style that many teens and adults love. The overall shoe offers a laid back and relaxed feel. The young vibe of the shoe makes it especially appealing. I love the white trim at the toe and around the shoe. It truly does give the shoe a cute and innocent look. This simple trim took me back to my freshman year of high school when I wore a pair of shoes with similar trim every day. Mozo Shoes manages to take this young look and make it look appropriate for adults. I never felt like some adult trying to fit in with today's youth; I truly felt like I belonged in this pair of shoes. The laces do not come pre-laced. At first, this did seem like a bit of a problem until i realized that this al…

REVIEW: GOOD WORKS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Image
Disclaimer: I received product in exchange for an honest review. Pictures are property of Good Works Make a Difference

I often blog about a variety of products, but, at the core, my blog is mostly about beauty and fashion. This has been one of my favorite blogger gift packages to open, use, and review. I hope my love for this brand and its products is reflected in my writing, but just in case it isn't, I wanted to include this small introduction.

STYLE:  As you can see, every piece is vastly different. Each necklace or bracelet has unique qualities to it, but there are a couple of underlying factors that make these pieces united. The most prominent being the empowering messages and sayings that can be found on each piece. I have never seen jewelry like this before! I was truly amazed that I could find so much strength in words written on the jewelry I was wearing! Just looking down and seeing inspiring phrases can really help a person feel strong, confident, and inspired. The fir…

REVIEW: MIGHTY MUG

Image
Disclaimer: I received product in exchange for an honest review. Pictures are property of Mighty Mug.

Today, I will be reviewing three Mighty Mugs: Mighty Mug Biggie in red and Mighty Mug Mini in black and stainless steel. Out of all the reviews I have done, reviewing these three mugs were the most fun. I was amazed at how I was never able to knock them over. So, whats the catch? There is none. Mighty Mug was created after a big spill ruined some important technology. We've all been there. Mighty Mug dreams of a future where nobody suffers from this.

STYLE: As I discussed in the last review, everyone has two styles: their real style and their work style. We can all agree that these styles often intertwine and mix. Some of us, me included, are lucky enough to work in casual wear, but that is a small minority. Mighty Mug found a great medium between work and casual styles. Most of my these-mugs-never-leave-the-house mugs have silly sayings whereas my work mugs are drab. And I do me…

REVIEW: ANCHORED STYLE

Image
Disclaimer: I received products for free in exchange for an honest review. Pictures are property of Anchored Style.

Anchored Style offers American-made nautical preppy apparel and accessories made for those who love life on the water. They call this style: surfer-prep.

STYLE: Having a professional style is just as important as having a personal style. Fall can be a hard time for professional dressing. Some days, its hot; while, on others, its cold. A polo can be an effective layering option that can make an outfit complete and weather appropriate. I received two polos from Anchored Style: one blue, one white. I found that the style of these polos really helped me to create unique layered looks that received many compliments. Not sure how to layer? Consider wearing a sweater over the polo and popping the collar through the sweater; then fold it back over. This creates an original, bookish look without causing you to overheat. On a side note I liked how the logo was so small that it co…

REVIEW: TOVOLO

Image
Disclaimer: I received product in exchange for an honest review. Pictures are property of Tovolo.

Tovolo was kind enough to send me a variety of product for me to try and review; because of that, this review will be a little different than most of my reviews. Instead of doing a longer write-up that discusses one or more similar products, I will be doing small write-ups of each of the products received with a summary at the end. If you like this kind of review, let me know in the comment section to the right!

COMIC BURST COOKIE CUTTERS: Now, don't act shocked when I confess, again, that I am a huge comic book fan. I love reviewing comic related products. This particular product is a throwback to the classics: the actual, original comic books. Nowadays, comic books don't have bursts that look this cheesy, but they definitely used to.The Comic Burst Cookie Cutters from Tovolo really pay homage to this vintage art in their own unique way. This is just a picture of one of the six …
